Overall a god experience dealing with ILX Group. Staff were very helpful. Only snag was that they didn't ask where I wanted my course documents sent, so they ended up going to an inappropriate address, which caused a few issues. Otherwise all good.
Every person at ILX who I dealt with provided EXCELLENT service. No complaints and all praise.
Nice quiet location.
Joining and registering for the exam instructions all done very efficiently. Prerequisites for course clearly communicated and everything done to make sure things went smoothly. Only thing that could have been improved was prior communication about the exam marking for the Practitioner being done externally.

While my rating for ILX Group is good I would like to provide some feedback. My experience could have been better if I had a trainer that didn't mind taking the time to explain questions I had. It is difficult to learn a new project management style and I am open minded and always willing to learn new ways and better ways of working. However if your trainer is not willing to provide you with time and patience to explain a new process so you have a clear understanding then it is difficult to adapt to a new style as your need of comprehension has not been met. It felt like I was being taught how to pass an exam and not learn the concept which was disapointing. I had waited many years to have the priveledge to attend the course and felt I wasn't supported enough with the concept of this new project management style. I think it also important to note the huge difference from foundation to practioner It felt like I was going along quite nicely and then when I moved onto practioner which felt so much more complicated and complex. Perhaps it didn't help that I wasn't clear on my content and didn't get the right support to help me transition into Practioner.
Although I didn't have much contact with ILX, when I did they were very helpful.

Knowledgeable and professional tutor delivered course content in an excellent facility.
I did the Foundation training, and found the emphasis on how to pass the exam was really excessive. I attended the course expecting to do exercises and gain some insights about applying Prince2. The presenter said the pass rate was over 99%, but still insisted on spending several hours over the 3 days going through practice exam questions and giving tips on how to pass the Foundation exam. Frankly, it was ridiculous. I will not recommend classroom-based Prince2 training to my colleagues.
